Members of Congress from Idaho, Colorado, Oregon, California, Montana, and New Mexico, to name just a few states, continue to be hard at work crafting land protection proposals in collaboration with diverse local and national stakeholders. We are hopeful these proposals will translate to formal legislation shortly. Once this happens, next steps include committee hearings, followed by committee votes in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and/or the House Natural Resources Committee.
