Doug Scott -- On the Road Again

The "Our Wilderness" Book Tour
Doug Scott

Doug Scott, the Campaign's Policy Director, and one of the nation's leading wilderness historians, has been on the move talking about his new book, Our Wilderness: America's Common Ground. Speaking to groups about the history of the wilderness movement and sharing his photographic tribute to America’s amazing wild places, Doug takes questions, shares stories and brings to life the message of his book — the need to protect our last best wild lands for future generations to use and enjoy.

Stops on the tour have included Seattle, WA; Reno, NV; and Missoula, MT; with many more in the coming months.

This week, join Doug in Chattanooga, TN:

Friday, June 26 @ 6:00 PM
Rock/Creek at Two North Shore
301 Manufacturers Rd. Suite 109
Chattanooga, TN

Following this event, Doug will head to Knoxville for the TN Wilderness Workshop to discuss wilderness in Tennessee and how local advocates can work to protect their favorite wild lands. For more information, contact Jeff Hunter at 423-322-7866 or jeff@safc.org.

Our Wilderness has received rave reviews including being hailed as: "The best introduction to the wilderness idea I've ever seen in 50 years of reading about wilderness," and "a visual reminder of our country's natural beauty and our place in it."  For more information on Our Wilderness check out www.ourwilderness.org.
